I had my hair washed/cut and styled here. I was scheduled with Mara. She started later than scheduled but I otherwise had a friendly reception. I found the end very rushed. She told me to style my hair because it was out of shape, especially on the right side. However, she had forgotten this so I had to ask her, which was all done very hurriedly. She also walked away quickly afterwards so there was little room to indicate anything. I did not like my hair blow-dried, and it was unfortunate that everything was so rushed at the end while I was right on time for my appointment.

This is the second time I have come here to cut and style my hair. I will not be coming back here again. The first time my bangs were cut unevenly, after much hassle I was finally able to go to have this corrected, then it was trimmed properly. I wanted to give this place another chance because of the good reviews so gave it another chance but the second time everything was incredibly rushed, she also started late. Hairdresser was specified moment also talking to someone else. She said there could be trimmed at the end but I hardly got time to look at my hair properly at the end, and she had already left and was at the counter for the final bill while I was still in the chair. I'm also not satisfied with how my hair was styled: it was styled straight on one side and wavy on the other. I will not come back here again, this place is very overhyped.

Never again.I went to get a BIAB. When the nail stylist put the BIAB on the first nail, there were a lot of foamy air bubbles occurring. I told her I don't like the look of so many air bubbles and if it will be like this then I want it to be removed. She insisted and said I just started it will all go away. Anyway, obviously it did not go away. There were 5-6 big air bubbles per nail which looked hideous. Then she called another nail specialist to help her, who advised her to put a very thick top coat so that you wouldn't see what is underneath. She also told me that this brand of BIAB is very bad and it often causes issues like this. She went to pick up some top coats and started putting them on without even asking me. They were colors that I really didn't like so I stated that to her. She called the owner that was sitting by the reception, who was trying to convince me that "it is not that bad" while there are 5-6 air bubbles per nail and some very ugly colored top coats in some of the nails which noone asked me if I like that color or not. I asked her to take it all out because it looked very funny. She told me she has another client waiting and therefore does not have the time. So I had to leave the store with those ridiculous nails and pay somewhere extra to get them taken out ASAP because the end result was not acceptable. While I was leaving the owner was offering me 10% discount next time I come there, what an insult. They wasted my 70€ and 2.5 hours and they thought 7€ of discount would make up for that.I told the owner these 4 reasons why I will NEVER go there again:1- They charge 70€ for BIAB, quite overpriced even for Amsterdam. As a client you expect to receive a certain quality in the materials they use and the nail specialists for that. The two nail specialists literally told me this brand of BIAB is very bad and that is the cause of the issue. Well then, go buy better brand BIAB if you feel entitled to ask so much for a treatment.2- I told the nail specialist when she did the first nail that I don't find the number of air bubbles acceptable. She sushed me down and continued. If she told me from the start that she can not fix the issue we wouldn't have wasted each others time.3- The owner came to me trying to convince me "It is not that bad". Not even an apology. I wonder if she would have liked it if she had 5-6 air bubbles in each nail after paying that amount of money on BIAB.4- Without an apology offering me 10% discount... This is just an insult. Does not need an explanation.I wish Google had the option to give zero stars.

I went with my mother for a pedicure. I was mega satisfied. It took about 45 minutes with me. This also matches what it says on the site. She was sweet and patient.My mother on the other hand was done within 15 minutes. Her toe had been cut and the whole tub was covered in blood. That was not changed nor was sorry said. Her calluses were violently taken off and everything was very heavy-handed. At the front desk I told them that I was not satisfied with my mother's treatment. The woman said she was annoyed but that the woman who did it to her is known for being fast. In addition she screamed very loud WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW because she did not want us to pay the whole price, but she had hired a freelancer and otherwise she had to pay it herself. (Not my problem I thought too). My mother was given a mini shampoo with the idea: better next time. Not again for us even though the girl who helped me was really top notch!

I recently had the most amazing pedicure experience at It's a beauty affair. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The ambiance was serene and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation.My pedicurist, Mina, was an absolute gem! Her attention to detail was impeccable, and I could tell she was truly passionate about her work. She left my nails looking flawless and my feet feeling pampered. Overall, I cannot recommend Mina highly enough for anyone looking for a top-notch pedicure experience. I'll definitely be returning for another visit soon!

Through an acquaintance I came here to have BIAB nails done. The first appointment I was helped by someone who then left. The second time the person who helped me then told me that the first one hadn't done it right. When after a little over a week the edges started to give way I called but unfortunately was told it was over a week ago so no more guarantee(cost Biab 62.50 each time). No other solution was offered, very strange. So I made a new appointment which was only possible at a very inconvenient time for me because of a medical appointment. I canceled that appointment because I was afraid I would be late for the medical appointment and the person I spoke with on the phone said that this was not a problem. We immediately made a new appointment and it was cancelled the next day without giving a reason? I called about that and was told that it was because I had cancelled my earlier appointment? The person I talked to on the phone just agreed and even discussed it with the nail stylist. I take a distance not because of the quality but because of the organization which I don't like, saying one thing to do another, saying your colleague didn't do it right, that doesn't feel comfortable to me.

I had the hair Botox treatment at the beauty affair and unfortunately I don't see any effect on my hair. I only washed my hair once since the treatment and it is back to looking normal, dull and frizzy. I was told that the effect and shine would last at least 5 week (3 if I wash my hair every day).The hair Botox was overpriced (90€) for what it was and I definitely think that it was a waste of money from my side.Nevertheless, the atmosphere was nice and the ladies who work there were lovely.

What is the difference between henna and eyebrow dye?

With normal eyebrow tinting, only the hairs of your eyebrow are dyed. Because of this, the hairs that you first saw less will be coloured and your eyebrows will look fuller. This gives a very natural result because it only darkens your natural eyebrows.

The difference with Henna Brows is that not only the hairs but also the skin is coloured. This is particularly useful if you have fewer eyebrow hairs or want to fill in any holes in your eyebrow. The result remains on the skin for up to 14 days (depending on the skin type) and can remain on the hairs for 4 to 5 weeks. And did you know that Henna is a 100% natural product?

What is a brow lift?

One of the most popular treatments in Amsterdam at the moment is the browlift, also known as brow lamination. The brows become a lot fuller because the hairs stand up straighter and can be combed up easily. The result remains visible for 4 to 6 weeks.

Can I have a browlift if I have almost no hair of my own?

Without your own eyebrow hairs, a browlift is less useful because it works on your natural eyebrows. It only has an effect on the hairs you have and not on the skin. Do you want fuller eyebrows when you have few hairs? Then you should opt for henna brows.

What is threading?

Treading is the removal of hair by means of a thread. It is a skin-friendly method and tight lines can be drawn for an extra sharp shape.
